Wildgoose Theatre was formed in 2010, with a declared aim to present plays that had not been seen in York.  We intend to attract the very best of York’s actors, directors and other talented individuals to achieve that aim.

We intend to present interesting and entertaining work in small theatres in and around York.

Our productions so far include Joe Orton's 'Entertaining Mr Sloane' and Frank McGuinness's magnificent hostage play 'Someone Who'll Watch Over Me'   which we followed up after a five year break with McGuinness',   'Gates Of Gold'  a funny and heartbreaking study of love and humanity.

We began 2017 with Oli Forsyth's fabulous new boxing play 'Cornermen'  , and then colaborated with the York branch of Script Yorkshire to showcase new writing in the form of '3 or 4 For 1 or 2'.

2018 saw us collaborating again with Script Yorkshire and Re:Verse Theatre to bring a double bill called Yorkshire Scandals , quickly followed by Jez Butterworth's amazing little play, The River , which was a highlight so far in Wildgoose Theatre's story so far.

We are pleased to be presenting Laura Wade's play, Colder Than Here in the autumn, with some actors new to us along with a new director.

We are already making plans for 2019, and have couple of great plays already lined up, so watch this space.
